About modification and the amendments in some legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at the further development of the jewelry industry

In recent years in the country the system work directed to support of the jewelry industry, providing competitiveness of the jewelry made in the republic in the internal and external markets is carried out.
At the same time there is need of satisfaction of demand of producers of jewelry for precious metals, creations of favorable business environment for their development and elimination of the bureaucratic barriers which are available in the legislation.
This Law to some legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan makes the changes and additions providing strengthening of responsibility for violations of the law about precious metals and gemstones, cancellation of obligatory realization through specialized reception cash desks of the extracted precious metals and gemstones, provision to the affinaging companies of sales right of precious metals to producers of jewelry, and producers of jewelry - rights to sell of the semi-products of jewelry made by them from precious metals to other producers. Also tax benefits are provided to the subjects of entrepreneurship which are members of Uzbekzargarsanoati Association regarding the tax discharge on property and the land tax.
Besides, the notifying procedure for activities for acquisition of precious metals (including the precious metals extracted by prospecting production) at legal entities and physical persons, jewelry and other products from precious metals and gemstones, and also their scrap and waste is established.
This Law will serve ensuring effective use of production capacities of the companies of the jewelry industry, further support of producers of jewelry and increase in their export potential, and also satisfaction of need of the population for high-quality jewelry products.
