About additional measures for increase in efficiency of activities of special economic and industrial zones

For the purpose of ensuring execution of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 15, 2024 "About measures for ensuring execution of the arrangements reached within the III Tashkent International investment forum and the regular meeting of Council of foreign investors" and also further enhancement of activities of special economic and industrial zones I decide No. PP-179:

I. Purposes.

1. Determine the main target indicators of development of special economic and industrial zones in 2025:

(a) in special economic zones - development of investments in the amount of 2, one billion US dollars, bringing export volume to 1 billion US dollars, providing production volume in the amount of, equivalent 4, 3 billion US dollars and creation of 12 thousand new permanent workplaces;

(b) in industrial zones development of investments in the amount of 800 million US dollars, finishing export volume to 512, 2 million US dollars, providing production volume in the amount of, equivalent 1, 8 billion US dollars and creation of 17 thousand new permanent workplaces.

II. Organization of activities of special economic and industrial zones.

2. Determine that new specialized zones are created only in the form of special economic zone or the industrial zone.

3. To determine by activities of special economic zones:

(a) are created for implementation of export-oriented, high-technology projects on land with the established borders in which the special legal, tax and customs regime can be introduced;

(b) can be also created in the form of special export zone with the protected area specialized only on export-oriented projects;
