About additional measures for creating favorable conditions for development of the furniture and woodworking industry

For the purpose of support of activities of producers of furniture, production of competitive products, export stimulation, and also employment and increase in the income of the population by development of industry I decide:

I. Purposes

1. Determine the main target indicators of development of the furniture and woodworking industry for 2025 - 2028:

(a) increase in production volume of furniture products and products of woodworking by 30 percent;

(b) bringing export volume to 100 million US dollars;

(c) implementation of investment projects total cost of 200 million US dollars;

(d) providing 50 thousand of population with work, revenue-producing, in industry.

II. Privileges

2. Till January 1, 2029 when importing raw materials, spare parts, fitment and accessories used in case of production of furniture according to appendix No. 1 * to apply rate of customs duty in the amount of 1 percent.

3. To the Ministry of Economics and finance, to the Tax Committee, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in three-months time to introduce in the Cabinet of Ministers the bill of modification and the amendments in the Tax code providing implementation of procedure according to which in case of realization by distributors to domestic manufacturers of the processing equipment used in the furniture industry which analogs are not made in the Republic of Uzbekistan imported on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to the approved list and exempted from the value added tax when importing, the tax base is determined by the value added tax proceeding from positive difference between the price of acquisition and sales price of this equipment.

4. Provide since July 1, 2025 to the individual entrepreneurs performing activities in own houses, the right to occupation activities for production of furniture products.
