1. The fund is the legal entity created by the Russian Federation in form of business of socially useful fund.

Functions and powers of the founder of Fund on behalf of the Russian Federation are performed by the federal executive body performing functions on development and realization of state policy and normative legal regulation in the field of physical culture and sport and also on rendering the state services (including prevention of dope in sport and fight against it) and to management of state-owned property in the field of physical culture and sport (further - federal executive body in the field of physical culture and sport).
3. The fund is created and performs the activities based on this Federal Law, other Federal Laws and other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation accepted according to them. For creation of Fund and implementation of its activities constituent documents, stipulated in Article 52 Civil codes of the Russian Federation are not required.
4. Full name of Fund in Russian - the Russian sports fund. The abbreviated name of Fund in Russian - RSF. Full name of Fund in English - Russian Sport Foundation. The abbreviated name of Fund in English - RSF.
5. The Fund location - the city of Moscow.
