About approval of the Concept of development of activities of representative bodies of the government on places in the Republic of Uzbekistan till 2030

I. Purposes

1. Determine main objectives of adoption of this Decree:

(a) full realization of the principle of democracy, including increase in role of representative bodies of the government on places in the solution of important issues of life of society and state;

(b) strengthening of democratization processes on broad participation of citizens in local authority, increase in accountability of executive bodies before local national representatives;

(c) decentralization of regional government on the basis of the principle "service to interests of the population", the balanced distribution of powers regional, Tashkent city Kengasha and district, city Kengasha of People's Deputies, and also specific determination of tasks and functions of representative bodies of the government on places of each link;

(d) strengthening of the legal basis of international cooperation of representative bodies of the government on places for the purpose of strengthening of interregional trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian bonds.

II. Program documents and mechanisms of their realization

2. Approve:

(a) The concept of development of activities of representative bodies of the government on places in the Republic of Uzbekistan till 2030 (further - the Concept) according to appendix No. 1 *;
