About introduction of amendments to the Law on activities of police and the status of the police officer No. 320/2012
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. - In the Law on activities of police and the status of the police officer No. 320/2012 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2013, Art. No. 42-47, 145), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:
1. State Article 2 in the following edition:
"Article 2. Police
(1) the Police is the specialized public agency of the state subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs intended for protection of the rights and fundamental freedoms of the person by means of implementation of activities for maintenance of public order and safety and also according to the prevention, investigation and disclosure of crimes and offenses.
(2) at the request of the General inspectorate of carabineers of division of police can perform activities for providing and recovery of public order and safety.".
2. Item g) Article 7 to declare invalid.
3. Add the law with Article 11-1 of the following content:
"Article 11-1. Extreme number of staff of police
The extreme number of staff of police affirms the Government.".
4. In part (1) Article 13:
Item b) to state in the following edition:
"b) approves regulations on the organization and functioning of regional, territorial and specialized subdivisions of police;";
add part with the Item b 1) of the following content:
"b 1) approves structure and the extreme number of staff of regional, territorial and specialized subdivisions of police;".
5. In Article 14:
the second offer of part (to state 1) in the following edition: "Specialized divisions are the units of police with competence on all territory of the Republic of Moldova subordinated to the General inspectorate of police and founded according to specifics of specific areas or activities.";

6. State Articles 15 and 21 in the following edition:
