This Law establishes the bases, conditions and procedure for acquisition and termination of nationality of the Kyrgyz Republic, and also regulates other questions connected with nationality of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Nationality in the Kyrgyz Republic is regulated by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, international treaties which came in the procedure established by the law into force which participant is the Kyrgyz Republic, this Law and regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted according to them.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
nationality of the Kyrgyz Republic - the stable legal bond of person with the Kyrgyz Republic which is expressed in total their mutual rights and obligations;
other nationality - availability at the citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic of nationality of foreign state or several foreign states;
paragraph fourth ceased to be valid;
the foreign citizen - the person who is not the citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic and having the evidence of the belonging to nationality of foreign state;
the stateless person - the person who is not the citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic and not having belonging to nationality of foreign state according to its legislation;
the residence permit - the document granting the right to foreign citizens or stateless persons on permanent or temporary residence in the Kyrgyz Republic;
the applicant - the capable, full age citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, the foreign citizen or the stateless person;
