About introduction of amendments to the Law on cinematography No. 116/2014

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on cinematography No. 116/2014 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, Art. No. 217-222, 467), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In Article 1:

part (to add 2) after the words "use of movies" with the words "and other audiovisual works", words "national cinema property." shall be replaced with words "national property in the field of cinematography.";

in part (3):

in Item е) words of "creation of movies" shall be replaced with words "productions of movies and/or other audiovisual works";

in Item f) words "national cinema property;" shall be replaced with words "national property in the field of cinematography;";

Item l) to state in the following edition:

"l) diversification of content of national audiovisual products.".

2. In Article 2:

"movie theater", "cinematography", "standard copy of the movie" and "co-producer" to state concepts of the following edition:

"movie theater - any space equipped with the corresponding equipment, intended for public display of movies by their projection to the screen on paid or free basis;

cinematography - the art and the industry of culture of national value creating value added by means of use and distribution of cultural diversity which purpose is production, distribution and use of cinema movies including set of the types of activity and persons working in this sphere;

the standard copy of the movie - the final and complete version of the movie including the mounted image, the reduced sound and credits, postponed for the stable high-quality carrier which allows to create copies of the movie on any derivative carrier for the purpose of use, and also storage of the movie in high-quality conditions;

the co-producer - physical person or legal entity which together with one or several producers participates in creation of the movie;";
