About modification of some regulations (the status of the prosecutor on bonds with Evroyust and separate guarantees for prosecutors)

This law creates the legal basis necessary for realization of provisions of Regulations of the European parliament and Council (EU) 2018/1727 of November 14, 2018 about the Agency of the European Union on cooperation in the field of criminal justice (Евроюст), and also about replacement and cancellation of the Decision of the Council 2002/187/JAI published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 295 of November 21, 2018, CELEX: 32018R1727, with the subsequent changes made by Regulations of the European parliament and Council (EC) 2023/2131 of October 4, 2023 also shifts part (8) Article 1 and Article 3 of the Framework decision of Council of the June 13, 2002 about the joint investigation teams (2002/465/JAI) published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 162 of June 20, 2002, CELEX: 32002F0465, with the subsequent changes made by the Directive of the European parliament and Council (EC) 2022/211 of February 16, 2022.
Art. I. - In the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Moldova No. 122/2003 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2013, Art. No. 248-251, 699), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:
1. Add with Article 535-1 of the following content:
"Article 535-1. The international legal cooperation by means of the prosecutor on bonds with Evroyust
(1) the Prosecutor on bonds of the Republic of Moldova under the Agency of the European Union on cooperation in the field of criminal justice (Евроюст) (further - the prosecutor on bonds with Evroyust) helps and otherwise supports the direction and execution of requests about the mutual legal assistance or mutual recognition given competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova or addressed to them by the competent authorities of member states of the European Union specialized by bodies and the agencies of the European Union based on provisions of the Agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Evroyust ratified by the Law No. 113/2015.
