About creation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Council

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan which further are referred to as "Party"

wishing to deepen, support and develop trade and economic, investment, industrial, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Parties,

being guided by the principle of mutual advantage and for the purpose of activation of bilateral cooperation,

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

For the purpose of assistance to expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, the Parties create the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Council (further referred to as "Council").

Council consists of agents of the parties and has the right:

1. Study the questions which are of mutual interest in the field of economy, investments, trade, the industries, power engineering specialists, constructions, migrations, science and technologies, digitalization and artificial intelligence, communication, transport (including air, rail and road transport), and also information, educations, intellectual property of health care, tourism, sport, physical culture, culture and art and to make offers on cooperation increase in these spheres;

2. Offer mutually advantageous and effective forms of cooperation in the above-named areas;

3. Initiate preparation of bilateral documents, projects and programs;

4. Consider other questions concerning mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries and take the adequate necessary measures for assistance to bilateral cooperation.

Article 2.

Council is headed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Representatives of the ministries and departments are part, and also if necessary representatives of industrial enterprises and business community of both countries taking into account subject and the potential of cooperation are recruited in meetings.
