About the state statistics
This Law governs legal relations in the field of the state statistics, determines the rights and functions of bodies of the state statistics, organizational bases of implementation of the state statistical activities for the purpose of receipt of comprehensive and objective statistical information about economic, social, demographic and ecological situation in Ukraine and its regions and providing the state and society with it.
In this Law the stated below terms are used in the following value:
administrative data - the data obtained based on the observations made by state bodies (except for bodies of the state statistics), local government bodies and other legal entities according to the legislation and for the purpose of accomplishment of the administrative obligations and tasks carried to their competence;
the state statistics - centralized system of collection, processing, the analysis, distribution, storage, protection and use of statistical information;
the state statistical activities - the set of the actions connected with carrying out the state statistical observations and rendering information services, directed to collection, processing, the analysis, distribution, storage, protection and use of statistical information, ensuring its reliability, and also enhancement of statistical methodology;
requesting - legal entity or physical person which sends request for receipt of statistical information to bodies of the state statistics;
information system of bodies of the state statistics set of the technical, program, communication and other means providing process of collection, accumulating, processing, distribution, storage, protection and use of statistical information;
