For the purpose of development and high-quality realization of the priority directions of state policy in the field of light industry, in particular further acceleration of the reforms undertaken in textile, tanning and shoe, silk industries and rug weaving I decide:

I. Enhancement of public administration

1. Create the Agency of development of light industry under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Agency) and to approve the main objectives of the Agency according to appendix No. 1*.

2. Determine that the Agency is authorized state body on development and realization of the priority directions in spheres of the textile, tanning and shoe, silk industry and rug weaving (further - light industry).

3. For the purpose of effective ensuring execution of the tasks assigned to the Agency:

(a) to approve the offer of the Ministry of Economics and finance, the Ministries of investments, the industry and trade, Uztukimachiliksanoat, Uzcharmsanoat and Uzbekipaksanoat associations about creation under the Agency of the Public council in the field of light industry consisting of experienced entrepreneurs in structure according to appendix No. 2 *;

(b) to transfer to system of the Agency the Uzbek-Korean educational and practical textile technopark, Research institution of silkworm breeding and the Uzbek research institution of natural fibers with preserving the operating procedure for financing.

4. Confer to the Agency powers to destination to position and to dismissal of heads educational and practical and the research establishments provided by the subitem "b" of Item 3 of this Decree, in accordance with the established procedure.
