In recent years in the country the large-scale work directed to consumer protection, protection of their life and health by means of implementation of modern methods is carried out to processes of assessment of conformity.
At the same time, there is need of further enhancement of acts of the legislation for the purpose of strengthening of corrective actions for abuse of regulations of assessment of conformity and forming of procedures for granting of privileges to the subjects of entrepreneurship which withdrew products which are not conforming to requirements of technical regulations.
This Law makes additions and changes to the Civil code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also to the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About consumer protection", "About standardization" and "About technical regulation", directed respectively to increase in responsibility of conformity assessment bodies and encouragement of the subjects of entrepreneurship which withdrew products which are not conforming to requirements of technical regulations.
This law serves consumer protection, protection of their life and health, increase in responsibility of conformity assessment bodies, forming of effective legal mechanisms by means of encouragement of participation of entrepreneurs in the course of withdrawal from the market of low-quality goods.
