About measures for implementation of technologies of satellite communication for expansion of scope with communication in the remote areas of the republic

I. Priority directions

1. Determine the priority directions of development of technologies of satellite communication:

(a) creation of regulatory framework of implementation and use of average and low-orbit satellite communication systems;

(b) creating favorable conditions for provision of telecommunication services in the remote regions and in the territories which are not covered by land networks;

(c) providing by means of satellite communication of reliability of networks and reserve communication in emergency situations;

(d) determination of organizational and technical bases of ensuring information security when using satellite communication systems.

II. Main requirements

2. Determine that implementation of satellite communication systems and provision of services of the satellite Internet are the licensed types of activity in the field of telecommunications in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

3. Determine the main requirements of activities for implementation of the satellite communication system:

(a) registration of permissions to allocation of radio frequencies and use of radio-electronic means;

(b) creation of the legal entity in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan or cooperation with the local operator of telecommunications;

(c) construction of the central terrestrial station (Gateway) on territories of the country and observance of requirements of information security;

(d) storage of the user data in the territory of the republic.
