About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About conscription and military service" concerning passing of military service under the contract persons which reached age limit of stay on military service
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:
I. Introduce in the Law of Ukraine "About conscription and military service" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2006, No. 38, Art. 324 with the following changes) the following changes:
1. In Article 20:
the fourth to state part in the following edition:
"4. Persons cannot be accepted on military service under the contract if time which remained it before age achievement of limit of stay on military service is less than the term, this Law determined by part two of Article 23, except the cases provided by parts three, the fifth and the tenth specified Article";
add with part ten of the following content:
"10. During action of warlike situation for needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military forming based on written consent) from the commander of military unit persons aged from 60 years recognized by the military-medical commission suitable for health reasons for passing of military service can be employed military service under the contract.
For persons accepted on military service under the contract of faces of officers according to paragraph one of this part, the letter (written consent) of the commander of military unit to the conclusion of the contract with such persons is provided only after approval of the candidate by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or authorized body of military management (governing body) of other military forming.
Procedure for approval of candidates for acceptance for military service under the contract according to paragraph one of this part, and also the list of the documents necessary for their consideration, are determined by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or authorized body of military management (governing body) of other military forming".
