for the purpose of elimination of technical barriers in economic and trade relations,

noting the international importance of questions on standardization, metrology, certification and accreditations and importance of their decision for successful trade and economic and technical cooperation,

considering mutual interest in development of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation, for the purpose of consumer protection and ensuring confirmation of safety of mutually delivered goods,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties within this agreement are guided by national legal systems of the states of the Parties, without causing damage to interests of both states.

Article 2

The parties develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation in the way:

harmonizations of the operating national systems of standardization, ensuring unity of measurements, certifications and accreditations with requirements of the international similar systems;

exchange of normative and information materials in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation, including the international and national product standards and services in the specified directions;

conducting joint operations on harmonization of regulating documents on mutually delivered goods and to procedures of its certification;

recognitions of standard samples of structure and properties of substances and materials, standard help data on physical constants and properties of substances and materials, results of the state testing, checkings, calibration and metrological certification of measuring instruments, test reports, certificates of conformity and marks of conformity on mutually delivered goods, and also accreditation of measuring, test, testing and calibrating laboratories and certification bodies on mutually agreed conditions;
