About additional measures for stimulation of results of intellectual activities and expansion of implementation to the sphere of modern information and communication technologies

For the purpose of increase in share of intellectual property in national economy, forming of reliable system of protection of the intellectual property rights, and also ensuring accomplishment of the tasks provided by the Strategy of development for the sphere of intellectual property in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022 - 2026 I decide:

1. Determine the main target indicators of development of the sphere of intellectual property for 2026-2027:

(a) bringing quantity of the intellectual property items registered in the country to 100 thousand, the number of the registered geographical instructions - to 40 by promotion of national brands;

(b) reducing twice examination terms in the course of registration of intellectual property items by means of use of technologies of artificial intelligence, and also complete transition to electronic form of interdepartmental document flow in the field of;

(c) increase in number of patent agents to 400 by strengthening of this institute, and also the number of the specialists in the field of intellectual property who underwent advanced training abroad in cooperation with World Intellectual Property Organization to 200.

2. Agree with the offer of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economics and finance and Chamber of Commerce and Industry on enhancement of the operating procedures and implementation of new services in the field of intellectual property when rendering the state services on basis:

(a) simplifications of procedures with wide use of digital technologies and technologies of artificial intelligence in the field of;

(b) provisions of the state services to citizens and entrepreneurs together with rendering the legal and methodical assistance to them;

(c) elimination of bureaucratic barriers, increase in the number of the state services provided in composite and pro-active form;
