About subsistence minimum in the Russian Federation

This Federal Law establishes the legal basis for determination of subsistence minimum in the Russian Federation and its accounting in case of establishment to citizens of the Russian Federation of the state guarantees of receipt of the minimum cash incomes and when implementing other measures of social protection of citizens of the Russian Federation.

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Federal Law

In this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:

Article 2. Purpose of subsistence minimum

1. The subsistence minimum in general across the Russian Federation intends for:

estimates of level of living of the population of the Russian Federation in case of development and realization of social policy and federal social programs;

reasons established at the federal level of the minimum wage, and also for determination of the sizes of grants, benefits and other social payments established at the federal level;
