About perpetuating of celebration of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945

considering that the people of our states made decisive contribution to achievement of the Victory and rescuing of the people not only Europe, but also the whole world from fascist enslavement,

noting that all of us in irredeemable to debt to generations of winners whose victims and feat gave to mankind the future,

being guided by the aspiration of the people of the State Parties of the CIS to note adequately on May 9 - the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945 - as sacred national holiday in the State Parties of the CIS, solved:

1. Recommend to the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States the Victory Day to note (on May 9) as public holiday.

2. Support the proposal of veterans of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States on consideration and acceptance in parliaments of the states of the Commonwealth of the law "About Perpetuating of Celebration of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945".

At the same time:

continue work on social improvement of veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945 and home front workers of military years and creation of worthy living conditions by it according to the agreements accepted by the supreme bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States;

continue work among the population on preserving and perpetuating of memory of courage and heroism of the people of the State Parties of the Commonwealth in days of the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945, to cultivate at the younger generation pride for great feat of the senior generation in defeat of fascism and release of the people of Europe from enslavement;

organize lighting in mass media of actions for the celebration of memorable events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945 and the historical truth about immortal feat of the people of different nationalities of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States;
