This Federal Law establishes the legal basis of social protection of the citizens working with chemical weapon according to the employment contract (contract), the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the staff of the law-enforcement bodies, the Public fire service occupied at works with chemical weapon (further - the citizens occupied at works with chemical weapon), and also the citizens who got occupational diseases as a result of carrying out the specified works.

Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Works with chemical weapon

Works with chemical weapon belong to works with harmful working conditions and according to degree of their danger are distributed on two groups.

With chemical weapon treat the first job group:

1) research and development works in case of which accomplishment the toxic chemicals relating to chemical weapon are used;

2) works on rassnaryazheniye and detoxication of chemical ammunition, reservoirs and devices, detoxication of toxic chemicals in production zones of pilot, trial and industrial facilities on destruction of chemical weapon;

3) the works on maintenance and inspection of chemical weapon connected with sampling of the toxic chemicals relating to chemical weapon and also works on destruction of separate chemical ammunition, the reservoirs and devices which are in critical condition;

4) works on liquidation of facilities for production of chemical weapon.

With chemical weapon treat the second job group:

1) the works on maintenance of chemical weapon which are not connected with sampling of the toxic chemicals relating to chemical weapon;

2) transportation of chemical weapon to places of its destruction;

3) operation on safety of storage and content of the processing equipment used for production of chemical weapon;
