About modification and amendments in the Law "About Mental Health Services and Servicing"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on December 17, 2025
Article 1. Article 11 of the Law of May 25, 2004 No. ZR-80 "About mental health services and servicing" (further - the Law):
1) to state part 1 in the following edition:
"1. The state guarantees provision of mental health services and services to persons with problems of mental health within the programs of preserving and improvement of health of the population provided by the Constitution, and also within the legislation on general medical insurance based on the principles of humanity and human rights protection.";
Items 1 and 2 of part 2 to state 2) in the following edition:
"1) rendering emergency mental health services and services, and also mental health services of both services, and medicines in stationary and out-patient conditions within programs of preserving and improvement of health of the population, and also provisions of the Law "About General Medical Insurance";
"Carrying out all forms of psychiatric examination, conducting examination regarding temporary incapacity according to the procedure, established by the law;";
3) to state parts 4-6 in the following edition:
"4. The psychiatric organizations shall give mental health services and services within the types of mental health medical care and services determined according to provisions of the Law "About General Medical Insurance" including amount of paramedical services, according to the agreements signed in the procedure established by the law.
The types of mental health services and services which are not included in the list of the services provided by the Law "About General Medical Insurance" and also paramedical services are provided on paid basis. The procedure for provision of paid mental health services and services is established by authorized body.
