In recent years in our country the large-scale reforms aimed at further market development of insurance services, ensuring implementation of the financial technologies connected with implementation of payments in digital services and also high-quality and safe processing of payment documents are performed.

At the same time adoption of law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About insurance activity" demanded reduction in compliance with it the existing legislation regulations for ensuring uniform application of its provisions.

Besides, need of ensuring effective state control for the purpose of increase in efficiency of activities of subjects of electronic commerce, strengthening of regulation increases in this sphere, and also protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and business entities.

This Law to separate acts of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan makes the changes and additions providing expansion of control functions of authorized state body for the purpose of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of consumers of insurance services, regulation of activities of other professional participants of the insurance market, introduction of the notification procedure of authorized state body about the beginning or the termination of activities of operators of electronic commerce and also establishment of responsibility for the non-notification of authorized state body about the beginning or the termination of such activities.

This Law will promote further market development of insurance services by means of creating favorable conditions for professional participants of the insurance market and consumers of insurance services, to enhancement of the sphere of electronic commerce, establishing effective control behind activities of operators of electronic commerce, and also protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.

Article 1.
