About special economic zones in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) special economic zone - the limited territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan with precisely designated borders in which favorable conditions for implementation of priority types of activity are created;

2) administration of special economic zone - the territorial subdivision of authorized body operating in the territory of special economic zone;

3) the participant of special economic zone - the legal entity who is performing priority types of activity in the territory of special economic zone and signed the agreement on conducting activities;

4) infrastructure resources - the complex of constructions providing needs of participants of special economic zone for heat and electrical energy, water supply, the sewerage, transport communications, communication services and other types of service;

5) priority types of activity - types of activity to which the legal regime of special economic zone extends;

6) the agreement on conducting activities - the agreement signed between the participant of special economic zone and administration of special economic zone, establishing the rights and obligations of the Parties concerning implementation of priority types of activity in the territory of special economic zone;

7) operator company - the legal entity determined by authorized body for involvement of participants of special economic zone, effective providing them with infrastructure resources and other conditions for implementation of priority types of activity;
