Article 1. State article 37 of the Law of November 11, 1998 to No. ZR-261 "About protection and use of immovable historical and cultural monuments and the historical circle" in the following edition:
"Article 37. Alienation of monuments
1. In case of compensation of damage or non-paid alienation of monument the owner of monument notifies on it authorized body in advance.
2. All transactions on the redemption or non-paid alienation of monuments are registered authorized body.
3. The churches, monasteries, church and monastic complexes, temples, chapels and other cult constructions included in the state lists of monuments (further - the cult constructions included in the state lists of monuments), can be aloof for remuneration or to gratuitously any third party with the consent of the government of the Republic of Armenia.
4. The owner of the religious construction included in the state register of monuments shall notify in writing the Republic of Armenia on behalf of authorized body on intention to alienate the property belonging to it by the property right to any third party with compensation or is non-paid, and also to provide the draft agreement about property acquisition and the copy of the document confirming the property right to the notification. The authorized body within two months after receipt of the notification shall notify the owner on consent or refusal of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to alienate property with compensation or to gratuitously other person in writing.
5. The government of the Republic of Armenia refuses provision of consent established by part 3 of this Article if there is risk of use of this property not in public concerns or not to destination, or terms of transaction contradict public concerns, or the documents submitted to the notification established by part 4 of this Article are obviously false or distorted.
