About economic activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
This Law determines the legal basis of implementation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine of economic activity, establishes conditions and guarantees of its organization and the state support.
Economic activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the specific activities of military units, institutions, organizations and organizations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (further - military units) connected with ensuring their daily life activity and providing maintaining subsidiary farm, production, performance of works and rendering services, transfer to lease of personal and real military estate (except for arms, ammunition, the military and special equipment) in the limits and procedure determined by this Law.
The activities of military units, institutions, organizations and organizations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for defense purchases connected with purchase of goods, works and services of defense appointment in import to which in the procedure established by the legislation powers on the right of implementation of military commodity import and the goods containing the data which are the state secret are conferred belong to economic activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Economic activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is performed for the purpose of receipt of additional sources of financing of life activity of troops (forces) for maintenance at the proper level of their combat and mobilization readiness. Economic activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine shall not have an adverse effect on their combat readiness and fighting capacity. Involvement of the military personnel to production, performance of works and rendering the services which are not provided by this Law is not allowed.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the representation of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine approved with the central executive body concerning economic policy approves types of military property, not privatizeable.
