This Law determines legal, organizational and social basis of veterinary case and is directed to health protection of animals, protection of people against diseases, general for the person and animals (the diseases transmitted to the person through animals, animal products), ensuring release of high-quality animal products in the veterinary and sanitary relation.
For the purposes of this Law the following concepts and their determinations are accepted:
veterinary case - the sphere of activity of legal entities and physical persons directed to health protection of animals, except as specified, stipulated by the legislation, protection of people against diseases, general for the person and animals, receipt of high-quality animal products in the veterinary and sanitary relation;
veterinary and sanitary examination - complex of special researches for the purpose of diagnosis of diseases of animals, quality evaluations of animal products, forages and feed additives;
veterinary means - biological, vegetable, chemical, pharmaceutical veterinary medicines and other means for diagnostics and prevention of diseases and treatment of sick animals, and also special devices, tools, materials and the equipment, vehicles;
quarantine - complex of the veterinary and sanitary and administrative restrictions and other actions directed to the prevention of spread of infectious diseases of animals;
animal there are farm, domestic, zoo and circus animals, and also fur animals, bird, fish, bees and other representatives of fauna;
