About production and conversion of uranium ores

This Law regulates features of legal relationship in case of production, conversion of uranium ores and use of products of their conversion as raw materials for receipt of nuclear material, determines features of activities of uranium objects, protection of personnel, N of cynthion and environmental protection from impact of ionizing radiation, and also feature of social protection of personnel of uranium objects and the population in connection with impact of ionizing radiation.

Article 1. Determination of the main terms and concepts

In this Law the terms below and concepts are used in the following value:

production of uranium ores - extraction of uranium ores from fields by all possible methods;

the mining and overworking uranium objects (uranium objects) - set of the main industrial productions and auxiliary objects which provide production cycle of production and conversion of uranium ores: mines, mines, pits, prospecting underground developments, complexes of underground lixiviation, hydrosteel works, enrichment factories, tail farms, transport enterprises;

conversion of uranium ores - processing of ore for the purpose of allocation of useful components and receipt of concentrate;

uranium ores - minerals which are got and processed for the purpose of release of nuclear material.

Article 2. Legislation on production and conversion of uranium ores and use of products of their conversion

The relations arising in case of production and conversion of uranium ores and use of products of their conversion are regulated by this Law, the Law of Ukraine "About use of nuclear energy and radiation safety", the Code of Ukraine about subsoil, other laws and regulatory legal acts of Ukraine.
