1. The State Customs Service of Ukraine (State Customs Service) is the central executive body which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Finance.
The State Customs Service is specially authorized central executive body in industry of customs affairs.
2. The State Customs Service in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, and also the presidential decrees of Ukraine and resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, this Provision, orders of the Ministry of Finance and other regulatory legal acts.
The State Customs Service implements taking into account results of application of the legislation on questions which are within its competence, and the international practice of implementation of activities in industry of customs affairs modern methods of work of Customs Service, carries out work on harmonization of the legislation concerning customs affairs with international standards, develops and submits to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposals concerning its enhancement.
