About support of the Olympic, Paralympic Movement and elite sport in Ukraine
This Law provides legal regulation of the relations aimed at the development of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement in Ukraine, guarantees the state support to his participants. The purpose of the Law is assistance to creation of premises for successful preparation and participation of members of national teams of Ukraine in the Olympic, Paralympic Games, to education of youth means of sport in the spirit of Olympism, to attraction of the population to healthy lifestyle, growth of the international authority of the state.
In this Law terms are used in the following value:
base of the Olympic and Paralympic preparation - complex of the constructions in the territory of Ukraine intended for accommodation, food, competitions, educational and training occupations and charges of members of national teams of Ukraine, with proper sports equipment and the equipment, located on the territory which is taken away for them and the members of national teams of Ukraine used for preparation for participation in national and international competitions, the Olympic and Paralympic Games;
selection competitions to Olympic and Paralympic igramchempionat (cups) of the world, Europe, other official international competitions following the results of which selection of participants of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is performed;
competitions in elite sport - the national championships, the championships (cups) of the world, Europe, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, other official international competitions included in calendars of competitions of the international sports organizations and the central executive body, realizing state policy in the field of physical culture and sport among athletes of the highest categories;
the Olympic Movement in Ukraine - the social movement which is based on voluntary combining of citizens and the organizations for the purpose of promotion of the ideas of Olympism, healthy lifestyle, development of physical culture and sport, coordinated by National Olympic Committee of Ukraine;
