About the organization of defense planning
This Law determines tasks, the principles, content and procedure for planning in the field of defense and coordination of actions of public authorities in this sphere.
In this Law the stated below terms are used in the following value:
The strategy of homeland security of Ukraine - the long-term comprehensive program of practical actions for ensuring security of the vital interests of person, society and state approved on the purpose, tasks, conditions and means from external and internal threats. The strategy of homeland security of Ukraine is basis for comprehensive planning of activities of public authorities in the field of defense and homeland security;
The strategy of military safety - the component of Strategy of homeland security of Ukraine determining the directions of the prevention and neutralization of real and potential hazards of homeland security of Ukraine in the military sphere;
strategic planning - the function of public administration determining the purpose, tasks, priorities and package of measures for realization of state policy in the field of defense and military construction;
The strategic defense bulletin - the conceptual long-term program document on reforming and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and others compound Military organization of the state;
defense planning - component of system of strategic planning and control of the state resources in the field of defense which is exercised in the terms established by the law for the purpose of ensuring necessary level of defense capability of the state by reasons for perspectives of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military forming taking into account nature of real and potential hazards in the military sphere and economic opportunities of the state, with indication of specific measures, contractors and terms of their realization;
