About social protection of children of war
This Law establishes legal status of children of war and determines bases of their social protection and guarantees their social security by provision of privileges and the state social support.
In this Law the stated below terms are used in the following value:
the child of war - person who is citizen of Ukraine and who for the period of the end (on September 2, 1945) of World War II was less than 18 years old;
the state social guarantee - the minimum extent of the government public assistance, and also privilege established by this Law for the purpose of provision of social support to children of war.
The state social guarantees to children of war are established on purpose:
recognitions at the national level of difficult course of life of citizens of Ukraine whose childhood matched over the years World War II;
provisions to children of war of social support.
The relations on acceptance, entry into force, appeal administratively, to accomplishment, cancellation of administrative acts in the field of social protection of children of war are regulated by the Law of Ukraine "About ministerial procedure" taking into account the features determined by this Law.
The legislation of Ukraine on social protection of children of war consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of Ukraine.
The state social guarantees to children of war established by this Law cannot be limited or cancelled by other regulatory legal acts.
Local government bodies, physical persons and legal entities have the right at the expense of own means and charitable receipts to establish additional guarantees of social protection of children of war.
