About the General scheme of planning of the territory of Ukraine

1. Approve the General scheme of planning of the territory of Ukraine it (is applied).

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of its publication.

3. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine:

approve procedure and indicators of conducting monitoring of implementation of the General scheme of planning of the territory of Ukraine (further - the General scheme);

determine measures for implementation of the General scheme;

to annually provide financing of measures for implementation of the General scheme in case of project development of the Government budget of Ukraine.

General scheme of planning of the territory of Ukraine

Section I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

The general scheme of planning of the territory of Ukraine (further the General scheme) determines priorities and conceptual solutions of planning and use of the territory of the country, enhancement of systems of resettlement and ensuring sustainable development of settlements, development of production, social and engineering and transport infrastructure, forming of national ecological network.

The general scheme is developed according to the laws of Ukraine and other regulatory legal acts concerning use of the territories taking into account economic, geographical, historical, ecological, demographic features of regions.

Provisions of the General scheme correspond to the principles of final documents of the Conference of the United Nations on development of settlements (HABITAT-II) and the corresponding recommendations of the Economic Commission for Europe of the UN and Council of Europe.

The general scheme consists of text and graphical materials in which:

analysis results of condition of use of the territory of Ukraine are given;

the main directions of use of the territory of Ukraine are determined;

offers on implementation of the General scheme are stated.
