noting that all objects for storage and production of chemical weapon are placed in the territory of the Russian Federation,
confirming obligations about joint participation in preparation and implementation of international treaties concerning reduction of armaments,
being full of determination to continue to be effective for the purpose of the fastest prohibition of development, production, stock accumulation, use of chemical weapon and its destruction,
agreed as follows:
The State Parties of the Commonwealth confirm obligations of the former USSR under the Geneva protocol of June 17, 1925.
At the same time:
The Russian Federation will undertake accomplishment of the obligations following from this Protocol with confirmation of the clauses concerning possible response use of chemical weapon made on April 5, 1928 in case of delivery on storage of the ratification letter
other State Parties of the Commonwealth in the territory of which there are no objects for storage and production of chemical weapon will consider the possibility of accession to the Geneva protocol without clauses concerning the right of response use of chemical weapon.
The State Parties of the Commonwealth will pursue coordinated policy for the purpose of the fastest conclusion of the multilateral effectively controlled convention on chemical weapon prohibiting development, production and use of chemical weapon at the global level and providing liquidation of all its inventories.
The State Parties of the Commonwealth will adhere to the decision on cessation of production of chemical weapon announced by the former USSR in 1987.
