based on article 7 of the Agreement on creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States and being guided by the agreements signed between the State Parties of the Commonwealth on defense questions

considering existing procedure for appointment and use of radio frequencies,

confirming the commitment to the principles and rules of international law in the field of use of radio-frequency range,

in view of need of safety and prevention of the human victims and unjustified material losses when carrying out especially important special works and actions,
agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purposes of this agreement stated below terms mean:

1. "Radio-frequency range" - range of electromagnetic radiations (fluctuations) used for work of radio-electronic means (RES).

2. "Use of radio-frequency range" - activities of competent authorities for planning, appointment and use of radio frequencies.

3. "Electromagnetic compatibility" - capability of radio-electronic means to function at the same time under operating conditions with required quality and not to create radio interferences to other radio-electronic means.

4. "Ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of radio-electronic means" - set of the organizational and technical events held for the purpose of reduction or exception of hindrances between radio-electronic means.
