About organ transplantation and (or) tissues of the person
This Law determines the legal basis of organ transplantation and (or) tissues of the person, the right and obligation of the donor, recipient and medical institutions and governs the relations connected by transplantation.
Transplantation (change) of bodies and (or) tissues of the person is resort of life and recovery of health of citizens is performed on the basis of compliance with laws of the Republic of Tajikistan of human rights according to the humane principles proclaimed the international community in which interests of the person prevail over interests of society and science.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
- body - the part of organism having certain structure and special purpose (heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, pancreas, bones, firm brain cover, cornea of eye and others);
- fabrics - cellular connections and their derivatives (intercellular substances) combined by community of structure, functions and development (marrow, skeletno - muscular system, vascular fabric, heart valves, skin and others);
- transplant - the body or fabric used in case of transplantation;
- transplantation - organ transplantation or fabrics with the subsequent engraftment within one organism (autotransplantation), or from one organism to another (homotransplantation), for the purpose of rescuing of human life or recovery of functions of its organism;
- the donor - the person who is voluntarily representing some body or fabric for change to other person (recipient);
- the recipient - the person to whom replace some body or tissue of other person or organism (donor) in the medical purposes;
