agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties recognize need of settlement of mutual claims of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

For this purpose the Russian Side refuses claims on public debt of the Republic of Belarus as of January 1, 1996 of the Russian Federation for granted loans according to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on the intergovernmental credit by results of trade and economic relations in 1992 and in the yanvareiyena of 1993 of June 30, 1993, the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on the intergovernmental credit for 1993 of June 30, 1993 and the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on public credit in 1994 of May 24, 1994.

In turn the Belarusian Side refuses claims and compensations:

on internal currency debt of the former USSR;

for the expenses connected with costs for ecological inspection and rekultivirovaniya of places of dislocation of the removed military forming of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation;

for complex of the buildings transferred by the Belarusian Side for placement diplomatic and consular representations of the Russian Side.

The parties mutually refuse the claims of financial nature to each other stipulated in this agreement which could arise till January 1, 1996.
