About income indexation of the population taking into account increase in prices for consumer goods and services
This Law determines organization-legal and economic bases of indexation of cash incomes and savings of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in connection with increase in prices for consumer goods and services.
Income indexation of the population (further imenuyetsyaindeksation) is the mechanism of increase in cash incomes and savings of citizens allowing to compensate in parts or in full it rise in price of consumer goods and services.
Indexation is part of nation-wide system of social protection of citizens and is directed to maintenance of purchasing power of their cash incomes and savings, especially needy segments of the population: pensioners, disabled people and large families, and also the studying youth.
Indexation can be combined, and in certain cases and is replaced with other methods of state regulation of the income of the population (review of the pay level of work, the sizes of pension, social benefits etc.).
The changes made to the mechanism of maintenance of purchasing power of the income of citizens are considered by Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in case of approval of the Law on the budget for the corresponding year.
Indexations are subject the cash incomes of citizens gained by them in national currency in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, which do not have one-time character: national pensions, social benefits (to families with children, on unemployment, temporary disability and others), grants, compensation (rates, salaries), compensation amounts of the damage caused by the mutilation or other damage of health connected with execution of labor obligations.
