The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

being guided by aspiration to development good-neighbourhood, partnership between two states, and also cooperation between them in different areas, including in questions of fight against illegal migration and cross-border organized crime,

being convinced that enforcement of the principles and regulations determining procedure for return, acceptance and transfer of persons which are in the territories of the states of the Parties in defiance of the operating procedure for entrance and stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons approved by the Parties is important component of regulation of processes of migration, contribution to fight against illegal migration and organized crime,

respecting the sovereign right of each of the states of the Parties according to its legislation to establish responsibility for illegal migration on its territory or through it foreign citizens and stateless persons,

noting the increasing interest of the states of the Parties in harmonization of the legislation in the field of migration,

agreed as follows:

Article 1 of Determination

The concepts used in this agreement mean the following:

a) "readmission" - transfer by competent authorities of the state of the requesting Party and acceptance of the state of the required Party by competent authorities according to the procedure, on conditions and for the purpose of, provided by this agreement, the persons which drove or being in the territory of the state of the requesting Party in defiance of its legislation concerning entrance, departure and stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons;

b) "the requesting Party" - the Party sending inquiry for readmission or transit of person;

c) "the required Party" - the Party to which the inquiry is sent for readmission or transit of person;
