Article 1. Determinations

1. For the purposes of this agreement the following terms mean:

a) "the aviation authorities" concerning the Republic Kazakhstanministerstvo of transport and communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, concerning the Republic of Tajikistan - The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Tajikistan, either any other person, or the organization, authorized to perform the functions which are carried out now by these ministries;

b) "the appointed airline" - airline which is appointed and is authorized according to Article 4 of this agreement;

c) "territory" - the terrestrial surfaces, territorial and internal waters and airspace over them which are under sovereignty of the states of the Parties;

d) "rate" - the rates established for transportation of passengers, baggage and load except mail and conditions on which these rates are applied, including rates and conditions of agency and other support services;

e) "charges" - the airport and other charges levied based on article 15 of the Convention;

e) "Convention" - The convention on international civil aviation open for signing in Chicago on December 7, 1944, and also any appendix and any amendment to it to that measure in what they are accepted by the Parties and are applicable to them;

g) "air traffic" - any regular and irregular air traffic performed by aircrafts for the purpose of public transportations of passengers, loads and mail;
