Approve the National N4 "Assessment of Property Rights of Intellectual Property" standard which is attached.

National standard No. 4 "Assessment of property rights of intellectual property"

General part

1. The national N4 standard (further - the Standard) is obligatory for application by subjects of estimative activities during evaluating property rights of intellectual property, and also persons who perform reviewing of valuation reports according to the legislation.

The standard can be applied to determination of the size of the loss caused in connection with unauthorized use of objects of intellectual property right.

2. Assessment objects in connection therewith the Standard are property rights of intellectual property which belong to objects in immaterial form.

3. In this Standard the terms below are used in the following value:

award - payment to the creator (the inventor, the author) for use of object of intellectual property right which amount is determined by the agreement taking into account provisions of regulatory legal acts concerning intellectual property;

base of royalty - indicator of economic activity which is used for determination of size of royalty;

residual useful life of object of intellectual property right - the period since date of assessment before the termination of useful life of object of intellectual property right;

the combined payment - license fee which includes royalty and lump-sum payment;
