Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The main terms applied in this Law and their determinations

For the purposes of this Law the following main terms and their determinations are applied:

baggage - the things which are handed over by the passenger for the established payment for delivery by railway transport public in the destination specified in the travel document (ticket), and transported in the place which is specially equipped for these purposes;

traffic safety and operation of rail transport - condition of security of process of movement of vehicles of rail transport, condition of vehicles of rail transport and infrastructure of rail transport public (further - infrastructure), and also railway tracks of uncommon use in case of which there is no unacceptable risk of emergence of the transport incidents and their effects involving damnification of life or to health of citizens, the environment, property of legal entities and physical persons;

the owner of infrastructure - the organization of rail transport public determined by this Law which possesses infrastructure on the right of economic maintaining;

the intra republican message - transportation of goods by railway transport public within the territory of the Republic of Belarus;

the city message (city lines) - transportations of passengers, baggage and cargo baggage by railway transport public in city boundaries of Minsk, the regional center and out of their limits, but not further railway stations, stopping points located in satellite towns;

cargo baggage - the things which are handed over by legal entities or physical persons, not being passengers, for the established payment for delivery by railway transport public in destination according to the transportation agreement and transported in the place which is specially equipped for these purposes;

loads - the material values accepted for delivery by railway transport public in destination according to the transportation agreement;
