About fire safety
This Law determines the legal basis and the principles of the organization of system of fire safety and the state supervision in the field of ensuring fire safety in the Republic of Belarus operating for the purpose of protection against the fires of life and human health, national property, all types of property and economy of the Republic of Belarus.
The system of fire safety in the Republic of Belarus consists of complex of economic, social, organizational, scientific and technical and legal measures, and also forces and the funds allocated for the prevention and suppression of the fires.
The relations in the field of ensuring fire safety are governed by this Law, acts of the President of the Republic of Belarus, other acts of the legislation (further - the legislation on fire safety), the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, technical regulations of the Customs union, Eurasian Economic Union and other international legal acts containing obligations of the Republic of Belarus (further if other is not established, - the international acts).
If the international treaty of the Republic of Belarus establishes other rules, than those which are provided by this Law then are applied rules of the international treaty.
Public administration in the field of ensuring fire safety is exercised of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, local councils of deputies, executive and administrative organs.
The state supervision in the field of ensuring fire safety includes:
1) state fire supervision;
2) it is excluded;
