About enhancement of education system in the Azerbaijan Republic

In the independent Azerbaijan Republic large-scale reforms in the field of education are performed. The solution of the questions following from the program of reforms approved by the Order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic of June 15, 1999 including establishment of the new principles in management of education, reduction of education in compliance with the international standards carrying out in its content of radical high-quality restructurings pushes enhancement of education system as task.

For the purpose of complete providing in Azerbaijan the right of citizens to education, I decide realization of provisions of the concept of national education, acceleration of the reforms undertaken in education system, enhancements of the controling mechanism, ensuring preparation and retraining of pedagogical personnel up-to-date of increase in efficiency of use of material and personnel potential in education:

1. Determine that educational and methodical management of all educational institutions functioning in the Azerbaijan Republic irrespective of pattern of ownership and subordination, control of quality of educational and educational process is exercised by the Ministry of science and education of the Azerbaijan Republic.
