About safety of toys

This Law governs the public relations by determination, establishment, application, execution and control of requirements for safety issues of toys.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) risk assessment - package of measures, the toys directed to identification of possible impact on life and the health of the person, the environment including determination of degree of danger;

2) toys - products, held for use children only for the purpose of game;

3) person placing toys in the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the physical person or legal entity implementing or for free distributing toys in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) the improper handling with toy - use of toy in conditions or for the purpose of, not provided by the manufacturer;

5) toy material - the toy components, available to contact, used in case of its production;

6) the user - person who is directly using toy;

7)  No. 461-IV ZRK is excluded according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of 15.07.2011

8) the consumer - the physical person or legal entity acquiring toys;

9) No. 102-V ZRK is excluded according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of 13.06.2013

10) functional toy - the toy which is the model of the products or devices used by adults reduced in scale, imitating the same purpose and accomplishment of the same functions;

11) chemical toy - toy which process of game is connected with implementation of chemical reactions;

12) electric toy - the toy having at least one function depending on electricity.
