About the state support of small business in the Republic of Belarus
This Law is directed to realization of the right of citizens to work, choice of occupation established by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus according to calling and implementation of the economic activity which is not prohibited by the law that will promote increase in solvency of the population as to one of the most important conditions of revival of economy of the republic, expansion of tax base and increase in receipts in budgets of different levels.
The law determines general provisions in the field of the state support of small business in the Republic of Belarus directed to creation of new workplaces by means of activation of production economic activity of the population establishes forms and methods of the state stimulation and regulation of activities of small business entities.
Operation of this Law extends to legal relationship which small business entities irrespective of subject enter and is more whole than their activities, legal forms and patterns of ownership.
The state support of small business is regulated by this Law and other legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
Small business entities are understood as the entrepreneurs performing the activities without formation of legal entity and legal entities with the following average number of workers:
in the industry and on transport - to 100 people;
in agricultural industry, including farmer (country) farms, and in the scientific and technical sphere - to 60 people;
in construction and wholesale trade - to 50 people;
in retail trade and consumer services of the population - to 30 people;
in other industries of the non-productive sphere - to 25 people *).
