According to article 19 of the Federal law "About Personal Data" Government of the Russian Federation decides:

1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on safety of personal data in case of their processing in information systems of personal data.

2. To Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control to approve within the competence in 3-month time the regulatory legal acts and methodical documents necessary for fulfillment of requirements, provided by the Provision approved by this resolution.

This Provision establishes requirements to safety of personal data in case of their processing in information systems of the personal data representing set of the personal data containing in databases and also the information technologies and technical means allowing to perform processing of such personal data with use of the automation equipment (further - information systems).
