The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus which further are referred to as with the Parties
for the purpose of further strengthening of friendship between two states,
being guided by the Agreement on bases of the interstate relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus signed in Tashkent on November 6, 1991
aiming at development of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation on the basis of the principles of equality, mutual advantage and rules of international law,
agreed as follows:
The parties create the Joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, further - the Commission.
The main objectives of the Commission are:
assistance to development of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus;
analysis of the course of realization of the main directions and principles of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation;
development and provision to competent authorities of the states of the Parties of recommendations about enhancement, development and further increase in efficiency of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation;
consideration of other questions connected with implementation of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation;
monitoring of the course of accomplishment of the international treaties signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus and other bilateral arrangements, including the decisions made on commission sessions;
entering into the governments of two states of offers on optimization of development of the bilateral relations;
