The government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia, hereinafter referred to as "Contracting parties",

wishing to keep and strengthen long traditions of friendship and cooperation between both states;

the developments of the customs relations which are equitable to national interests of both states built on the basis of international law, mutual respect and mutual understanding convinced of need;

aiming to stimulate development of economy of both Parties and protection of their domestic market;

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For realization of the purposes of this agreement Contracting Parties will create favorable conditions for establishment of direct connections between the companies, the organizations and firms, ensuring entrance and movement of citizens of one Party in the territory of other Party.

Article 2

Contracting parties agreed that the goods addressing between customs areas of the Parties, are not assessed with customs duties and other taxes.

Article 3

This agreement does not affect the right of any of Contracting Parties to acceptance according to international law, and also its domestic legislation of the measures necessary for protection of state security, public order, health or morality of the population, culturally - historical heritage of the people, protection of rare animals and plants.

Article 4

Contracting parties not adopt the regulations contradicting this agreement, international law and infringing the rights of both states.

Article 5

Contracting parties are unanimous that the customs cooperation will develop without violation of their obligations on the relation to each other. The parties will not interfere with development of the customs relations with the third countries.
