in view of that the main oil pipelines located in the territory of the Republic of Belarus are the integral technological part of system of the main oil pipelines Nizhny Novgorod - Ryazan - Oryol, Samara-Unecha-Ventspils, Samara - Unecha - Mazyr - Equal Brest-Uzhhorod,

considering need of ensuring free transit of oil products irrespective of their production site, the destination and the owner,

proceeding from need of effective use of the existing system of the main oil pipelines,

wishing to promote long-term mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of construction and operation of system of the main oil pipelines,

recognizing that carrying out coordinated policy in the field of transportation of oil products concerning the third countries is equitable to interests of the Parties and promotes increase in efficiency of their participation in international backgrounds,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The terms used in this agreement mean the following:

"transportation of oil products" - activities for movement of oil products for the main oil pipelines from acceptance Items from consignors to delivery Items to their consignees, technological storage, filling and transfer on other mode of transport;

"transit of oil products" - movement through the territory of the state of one of the Parties of the oil products coming from other state and intended for consignees in the territory of the third state which is not the party of this agreement;

"the main oil pipelines" - the single production and technological complex of pipelines with underground, underwater, land and elevated constructions intended for transportation of oil products from acceptance Items from consignors to delivery Items to consignees, technological storage, filling and transfer on other mode of transport;
