for the purpose of deepening of economic cooperation on bases of equality, mutual advantage and for the benefit of growth in prosperity of the people of two states,

attaching importance to creating favorable conditions for development of the market relations between business entities of both states,

aiming to develop the economic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Ukraine on qualitatively new and long-term bases,

in view of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the basic principles and the directions of economic cooperation of July 6, 2001,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties showed willingness to develop cooperation on implementation of investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan by the conclusion of direct long-term agreements (contracts) between business entities of the states of the Parties.

Article 2

The Ukrainian Side authorizes SK "Ukraziastroy" to participate in implementation of investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in the following directions:

- upgrade and renovation of Nureksky hydroelectric power station;

- participation in investment and construction of Sangtudinsky and Rogunsky hydroelectric power station,

- growth in volumes of production of the Tajik aluminum plant by alumina supply, and also introduction of the contribution to modernization of the workshop of electrolysis of aluminum;

- construction of the mini-plant on smelting of ferrous metal from scrap of waste based on the Tajik aluminum plant;

- creation of production of household gas meters;

- mining of tungsten concentrate of Maykhur;

- construction of bridge crossings and tunnels on highways, rail line Kofarnigon - Yavan;
